Fantastic service, great wine selection and some of the best food that we have enjoyed in the area. This was our first dining experience at Mistura, but it will not be our last.

Really loved how comfortable and inviting the restaurant was. The moment you enter, the layout of the restaurant puts you at ease and entices you. The small details are also appreciated, from the constant check-ins of multiple waiter/waitresses, to the choices of wines to accompany the meals. Great experience.You must try the beet risotto!

We come back over and over. Paolo is the type of owner who makes you feel like you're his only customer. His staff are always well versed with the type of service Paolo expects and they make you feel so warm and welcome. The food is always outstanding, fresh, tasty and unique and ever changing. Any special occasion is welcome with whatever your needs! We love the MIstura family and look forward to every occasion when we visit . Cathy and George

We were interested to see if Massimo having left Mistura had made a difference. Fortunately, it has not. High quality service and exceptional food are still very evident. We order a barbera wine that is cherry- flavoured, deep and fantastic. Great beginning. We decide to share the appetizer burrata. Sitting atop a crown of pesto, onions and tomatoes is an amazing delightful cheese which is smooth and soft, everything a burrata should be. Later as we discourse with the owner, he explains all Italians make cheese and his hope is to extend a cheese culture in the city, reflecting that we get fine cheeses from Quebec. This is an outstanding appetizer.
We ask our server to slow down table service so we can really enjoy our food. He does this.
Next we order the wild boar agnolotti and theveal scallopine limone. The former is a Massimo dish. It is an extravagance with an incomparable wild cherry sauce. For me it lacks the subtle contrasts of slightly al dento pasta and rich sauce, coming off as one, although the suggestion of coarseness of the wild boar does peak through. The smaller size offers four very large agnolotti. I enjoy the dish but it is very rich. My husband's scallopine is perfect, although also generous with two large pieces of veal and crispy potatoes- and veg.
For desert, we have pear and cranberry crisp hot from the oven and topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Nicely tart and delicious, it is a perfect foil to an excellent dinner.
And as restaurants go in the city, their pricing is fair.
A really great meal with attentive , pleasant servers and a caring owner who is on the floor ensuring that every detail from food to ambiance and a convivial atmosphere is maintained.
My only issue has to do with the level of noise- for the diners here get loud. Maybe they are just enjoying!

I have never written a restaurant review but I believe that one is more than due. We went to Mistura for the first time and had a very enjoyable dining experience. We requested for suggestions to our host, Bess, who looked after us that evening and she was more than happy to answer any questions that we may have had. We had the duck liver pate and beef carpaccio for appetizers and the red beet risotto and potato gnocchi with duck ragu. The food was excellent and the only regret is not being able to have the chocolate olive cake which I will definitely try next time. It leave a lasting impression and hope to dine there soon. My thanks to Bess and everyone else for being very welcoming and professional and looking after us that evening. Grazie mille.

Our table of 4 attended Mistura for their "Chef's tasting menu" with accompanying wines. Owner/Sommelier/Host Extraordinaire "Paolo" walked us through a rare adventure in gastronomic supremacy, the likes of which we have seldom experienced in our (too many years to want to remember, world traveled) lives. Brilliantly prepared, uniquely presented, I could not select a favourite because virtually everything was beyond extraordinary. Server "Bess" added the unexpected 'ingredient' of efficiency, charm and wit who, along with Paolo, made our entire experience feel like we were guests in their Tuscany Villa - you know, the one with the kitchen stuffed with Iron Chefs? What a night to remember. We will definitely return - and bring as many of our Foodie friends and family as we can round up. As our kids would say "Totally Awesome"!!!
